HINT:.. Click the "Watch Promo" button above.
This course will show you how to code an interface that will let you trade in the strategy tester. You will be able to place buys or sells and close them. In addition you will be able to 'bump' the stops and targets up and down after you enter a trade to meet your desired levels. As many of you know I already have a much fancier trade simulator in the mql5 market called the "Skill Builder". You can buy it for 47.00 and it comes with 5 activations. I thought that for the same money I will show you how to make your own simple trading interface and you can add to it what functionality you want.
This course should be of special benefit to those of you who have already taken the Graphical Interfaces Course In that course we build a trading interface however, it will not work in the tester. Normally when we create buttons to do things for us when we click them, we are relying on the OnChartEvent() function in our code to 'notice' that we pressed a button and run the appropriate code for that button. Unfortunately for us... the OnChartEvent() function is not active in the strategy tester 'simulated' trading environment.. therefore I have included a special discount link to this course in the last lecture of that course.
In this course I will teach you what you use instead of the OnChartEvent(). Once you learn this trick you an add whatever buttons and functionality you like. It is December of 2020 as I write this and many are getting 'cabin fever' due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Perhaps this course will give you something to occupy your mind and a tool you can use to test your trading skills in the strategy tester over the holidays.
